Gators ready to 'CHOMP'

  • Captain Shreve Junior Quarterback Darruis Grant gearing up for the 2018 season

The Captain Shreve Gators kickoff the 2018 season on the first Saturday in September. The first day of September. The gators are gearing up and playing on a Saturday (9/1/18)

Wait, a Saturday? Yes, a Saturday.

A Saturday morning at 11:00am. So why not pack Lee Hedges Stadium? What a fun Saturday it will be.

Shreve will host the Green Oaks Giants. The game will be played at Lee Hedges Stadium. 11am. Saturday September 1st. This is their hype video. We make hype videos. We do all kinda cool things.

Gator head coach Bryant Sepulvado is leading his team into the season, and his team is loaded with talent.

“Our expectations are high, the kids expectations are high, so we welcome the challenge week-in and week-out,” says Sepulvado.

Darrius Grant will be the starting quarterback under center [-check that-] standing in the shotgun, for the third time in his career. In 2017, the talented sophmore started the first two games of the season, winning both. (2-0) But he found himself playing receiver after then-starter, Lucas Grubbs returned from injury The gators went 4-6 and were in every game. That was 2017. Back to 2018, Darrius Grant is the projected year-long starter. Yes, the Gators finished 4-6 in 2017, but this year will be different. I gotta feeling. Because Captain Shreve was in every game last year, and they were the only team in district 1-5A (in two years) to score a touchdown on Evangel’s starting defense, and they did it more than once- they scored three touchdowns on Evangel’s defense in last years week 10 matchup.

A talented offense with speed, and a big offense line. Add that to the confidence and athleticism of Darrius Grant…

“I feel like we can win district, if we just keep working hard,” says Darrius Grant.

The 2018 Captain Shreve Gators are stacked wide receiver, defensive back, and speed. They have a lot of speed. Their head coach is a smart football-minded, leader of young men, and his entire really-really fast team has bought in. Look out!

I like the Shreve in 2018. I really-really like the gators in 2018.

It’s possible Shreve plays for a district championship in week 10 against the Evangel Eagles The only thing in their way, nine other teams. Shreve could finish higher in district 1-5A than Byrd, Airline, and Haughton — They’re quarterback says they’ll win the district. And we all can’t wait to see it play out!

Enjoy the hype video.
