2019 Battle on the Border matchups and tickets

The 2019 Landers Dodge Battle on the Border High School Football Showcase scheduled for Sept. 13-14 at Independence Stadium.

Gators and Jackets and Knights… OH MY!! BOTB will also feature the defending Louisiana 5A State Champion Zachary Broncos, and Division IV State Champion John Curtis Patriots.

This year’s showcase features regional and national powerhouse high school football programs from Louisiana, Arkansas, Florida and Georgia. Battle on the Border IX is a two-day, five-game format, providing a full slate of weekend games for high school football fans.

 

The 2019 BOTB schedule:

Friday, Sept. 13, 2019
West Monroe Rebels vs. C.E. Byrd Yellow Jackets – 5:30 p.m.

North Little Rock Charging Wildcats (Little Rock, Ark.) vs. Catholic Bears (Baton Rouge, La.) – 8 p.m.

 

Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019
Deerfield Beach Bucks (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) vs. Zachary Broncos (Zachary, La.) – 11 a.m.

Westlake Lions (Atlanta, Ga.) vs. John Curtis Patriots (River Ridge, La.) – 3 p.m.
Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, La.) vs. Woodlawn Knights (Shreveport, La.) – 7 p.m.

Tickets for the Battle on the Border IX start at $10 for advanced general admission, $15 game day-general admission, and one ticket is good for all five showcase games.

Want to watch the games from the comfort of a covered seating or an enclosed, air-conditioned area while enjoying great food? If so, then you’ll want to purchase Club-Level Tickets for $50.

A “Family of Four” ticket package is just $50, and includes four general admission tickets, four concession food vouchers (hotdog, chips, and drink) and a parking pass.

For groups of 30 or more, a group ticket package is available for $400 and includes 30 general admission tickets, 30 concession food vouchers (hotdog, chips and drink) and two parking passes. Group tickets must be purchased in advance.

Battle on the Border IX tickets can also be purchased at two different locations; the Independence Bowl Foundation, located in the American Tower in downtown Shreveport at 401 Market Street Suite 120 or the State Fair of Louisiana box office at 3701 Hudson Ave.

Can’t attend the games in person? No worries. For the third consecutive year, all five games of the showcase will be televised live by FloSports through FloFootball. Visit www.flosports.tv to find out how you can stream every minute of the Battle on the Border IX.

Joel Rodgers

Joel Rodgers joined RSHV News 1 in January 2018 as a reporter/journalist. Prior to joining our team, Joel spent the previous 5 years as a morning show reporter, entertainment reporter, and sports reporter for a local television station. At 6’5”, he's the tallest reporter in the history of Shreveport, but it’s more than just his height that makes this Shreveport native stand out. His editing skills combined with his love for storytelling makes for a creative and talented addition to the RSHV News 1 team. After attending and graduating from Evangel Christian Academy, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern State University. Joel is very active in the Shreveport community having won several competitions in recent years. In 2017, he danced his way to victory in the annual Susan G. Komen event, “Dancing for the Cure." He’s also won the “Mudbug Madness” Crawfish eating contest in back-to-back years and was named the top celebrity chef at the “Louisiana Food Prize” cooking competition.
