The 2019 Louisiana High School Coaches Association just wrapped up its annual convention at the Shreveport Convention Center for the second straight year.

The LHSCA Convention is a two-day annual event that offers a wide range of education sessions on both male and female sports as well as health and safety topics, multiple networking opportunities, rules meetings, and an astounding array of exhibits. On average, the LHSCA Convention draws an attendance of over 1,200 coaches, athletic directors, exhibitors and fans of athletics.

The highlights were sessions offered by Louisiana State University Head Football Coach Ed Oregon, Tulane University Head Football Coach Willie Fritz and University of Southern Mississippi Head Coach Jay Ladner. Ladner will be entering his first year as head coach for the Golden Eagles after a five year stint at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
