Biz Pro Holds First Organizational Meeting

SHREVEPORT, LA. – The Biz Pro Advanced Networking Group has introduced a new business-to-business networking opportunity that will help local companies connect, learn and grow.

The BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP, will meet three times a month beginning in January 2020. Program founders Ron Oswalt and Ian Summers conducted an informational session about BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP on Thursday afternoon at the Petroleum Club of Shreveport, explaining the program and answering questions.

Oswalt is the business development specialist for RSHVNEWS.COM in Shreveport. Summers is the owner of Summers Social, a small independent digital marketing company.

Oswalt explained that the BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP will begin with a group of representatives from 25 businesses meeting twice a month and a optional after work social to talk about their companies, hear from guest speakers and exchange ideas and information.

BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP members will carry business cards from other members, allowing them to refer companies for a variety of needs. Oswalt said each group works best with one member of each industry. “We shop local and we refer business to each other,” he said.

Oswalt said auto dealerships, real estate brokers, plumbers, lawyers and insurance companies are the kinds of businesses that can benefit from what he called a “free sales force” of fellow BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP members.

“Our whole goal is to welcome new business to our community,” Oswalt said. “Overnight, businesses could have 20 people talking about their business.”

Summers said he is excited for the opportunity to offer a new service and potentially expand its growth. “I don’t think we have enough effective networking opportunities locally right now, and I think this is a great way to potentially build a customer base.” Summers said.

BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP will have an attendance requirement, but members may send employees or representatives to the meetings in their place.

Patrick Kirton, Account Executive of Lamar Outdoor added, “It’s great to be part of beginnings of an exciting and emerging professional organization. I look forward to networking, meeting new people and bettering our community.”

To sign up for the BIZ PRO ADVANCED NETWORKING GROUP program, interested companies can contact Oswalt at 512-409-5277 or ronaldoswalt@gmail.com.
