(Shreveport, LA) Film, food, music, fashion, and now comedy. Prize Fest 2019 will feature comedy for the first time, with seven seasoned and upcoming local comedians putting on the largest comedy show of the year.
“Very excited for Comedy to have its spot at the Prize Fest,” said Show Director Ryan Hope, “These comics work very hard to perfect their craft, they deserve the recognition and accolades. Shreveport needs to see what kind of talent we have right in our backyard. We hope to see everyone at Comedy at the prize.”
Headlining the show will be Quinton “MUNCHIE” Washington, a seven year comedy veteran. From receiving a standing ovation at his first show in 2012 at the Addison Improv in Addison, TX to performing for the troops in Germany, Munchie has travelled the US and the world performing comedy. He has hosted and performed alongside the likes of Joe Torry, Pierre, Steve-O, Tony Roberts, Melanie Comarcho, and many more.
Supporting Munchie is host Jeremy Unmask, along with comedians Anna “Teddy” Tedesco, David Allen, Prelow, Jamie Ostroff, and Tony Mac.
Comedy at the Prize Fest will be hosted at the Lofts at 624 Texas Street on October 5th from 9-11pm, with supporting shows titled “Road to Comedy at the Prize Fest” taking place at The Port Grill on September 20th and Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club on September 28th. These will feature several comedians from the main show, supported by other local comedians, in smaller and more intimate venues. The event will be free to attend, all ages welcome
