Let us introduce you to the young man who brings you news in real time. Reporter Timmy Lane is truly appreciated for his passion, hard work, and dedication. He is a 2007 graduate of Fair Park High School. He graduated from Southern University-Shreveport in 2014 with an Associate’s Degree in Journalism. He has since earned an Emergency Medical Technician Certification. He currently attends Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, where he is pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.
Immediately after his graduation in 2014, Lane started doing freelance photography. In 2015, he became a spot news photographer fro KTBS 3 News Station. Shortly after, Lane was shot while reporting news. In August 2016, he moved on from KTBS and relocated to Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, Lane still managed to keep 18,000 people updated with news in real time. In his spare time, he drove 210 miles to Shreveport to report news to the community for free. He is always first on the scene, and reports “News at its Best.”
Lane is always there when the community needs him. He has conducted numerous candlelight vigils for victims killed and those who have passed from natural causes. He has donated both personal time and money by teaching volunteer dance for nine years. One look at his outstanding news work shows that Lane never gets much rest. His commitment to his work makes him the personal superman of RSHV News 1.
