Cowboys and Rams looking to play in Hawaii

The NFL has scheduled games in places like Mexico City and London, and now there’s an interesting new destination.

The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams are discussing playing a preseason game in Hawaii, multiple sources told Todd Archer of

The game will probably be played in Honolulu. The Rams had announced a few months back they were planning on playing a preseason game in Hawaii, but no opponent was announced. It appears that team will be the Cowboys, as the league brings professional football back to the island.

Archer writes that the Rams are “partnering with the Hawaii Tourism Authority on the game.”

For years, the NFL had the Pro Bowl in Hawaii, but they moved it to Orlando a few years back. According to Archer, the last time a preseason game was in Hawaii was back in 1976.

If it does happen, it’ll be a rematch of the divisional round from this past year’s playoffs, where the Rams knocked off the Cowboys. Since they both won their division, the two teams will also play in the regular season next year.
