Doll Named To C-USA Soccer List

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech junior Elizabeth Doll was one of 11 players selected to the Conference USA Women’s Soccer Preseason Team, announced on Monday in a vote by the league head coaches.

Last season, Doll was named Third Team All-Conference and was a member of the All-Tournament Team as the defender helped LA Tech to a 13-win season, a fourth-place finish in the conference and a semifinal appearance in the league tournament.

The Pearl River, Louisiana native has made 28 career starts at center back, registering a total of 15 points on six goals and three assists.

This marks the fifth straight year that LA Tech has had a player chosen to the preseason team.

Doll is one of seven starters returning as the Lady Techsters were picked to finish sixth (out of 14) in the preseason poll.

LA Tech is one of only three teams to qualify for the C-USA Tournament in each of the last five years.

The 2019 season kicks off on Aug. 23 at Southeastern Louisiana.
