Reporter Timmy Lane spoke to three young men on Sunday, August 11th. These young men claimed that former Mansfield Judge, Robert Burgess, pulled a gun on them and threatened to kill them last week.
On Wednesday, just after 7 PM, the three boys were arriving home from getting their father some food. Shortly after arriving home, they got into an altercation with the former judge, who was across the street.
One of the young men claims Burgess was standing near a tree across the street with a gun in his hand. One of the boys asked Burgess what was wrong, and the man responded by saying he was going to kill all of them and tried to reach for one of their necks. The young men called the Sheriff’s Department in response and Mansfield Police Department took over the case from there. The judge was taken to the Police Department, but was later released. The young men and their families do not believe justice has been served at this time and are frustrated with the lack of response from the Mansfield Police.
A neighbor with surveillance cameras claims to have the entire altercation on video and the tape has been turned over to the authorities.
