Shreveport — The Captain Shreve Gators did something Friday night that they’ve never done before — win a district game against Haughton.

The Gators and Buccaneers both entered Week 8 with 6-1 records — And after 2.5 hours of playing in the rain, the gators are now 7-1 and the Bucs drop to 6-2.

The game saw non-stop rain at Shreveport’s Lee Hedges Stadium.

Haughton quarterback Peyton Stovall and wide receiver CJ McWilliams were both knocked out the game.

Captain Shreve’s defense balled out with 3 interceptions on the night.

The much talked about Brotherton Bowl was won by Coy Brotherton (CS offensive coordinator).
