Home Invasion Leaving Two Dead

Two people are now deceased after an early morning home invasion. Just before 5:00 a.m. Caddo Deputies responded to the 2700 block of Long Branch Lane in reference to a home invasion/shooting.

Upon deputies arrival, they found a male inside of the home deceased. Another male was transported to Oschner Health Hospital, where he later died.

According to deputies, a female homeowner stated that her former boyfriend broke into the residence, by entering into her bedroom window. Upon his forced entry of her her home, he shot her current boyfriend.

There were 5 kids present inside of the home during the time of the shooting, thankfully the mother and the kids were able to escape safely. This shooting remains under investigation, no names have been released.

Julia LeFort joined RSHV News 1 in May 2019 following her graduation from Florida College with a Bachelor's Degree in May 2019. She has been working as an editor in Florida for the past two years and previously graduated from Benton High School.
