  • Joel Rodgers

The first game of the Landers Dodge Battle on the Border Showcase at Independence Stadium featured John Curtis (La) vs. Bishop Lynch (Tx).

15 seconds into the game, the patriots from John Curtis were ahead.

Corey Wren’s 80 yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage set the tone for the patriots.

John Curtis, which beat the Friars 21-14, enjoyed a 21 point lead in the first quarter.

The only thing Bishop Lynch could stop in the first quarter was us (Real Shreveport Sports) from tweeting at them. They blocked us.

The only touchdown in the first half for Bishop Lynch came on a Battle of the Border showcase record 99-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown by Plae Wyatt in the second quarter.

J.T. Curtis is the winningest coach in the history of Louisiana, and picked up win number 570 in Shreveport on Thursday night.

The Battle on the Border continues Friday and Saturday with several power house programs.
