RUSTON, La. (Oct. 9, 2019) – Louisiana Tech officials announced on Wednesday an agreement for a future home-and home football series with Kansas, beginning in Lawrence in 2027 and continuing in Ruston the following year in 2028.
The two sides are set to meet on the gridiron first on September 18, 2027 at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kansas. The Bulldogs will then host the Jayhawks the next season, scheduled for September 16, 2028 from Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston.
The programs have met a total of four times in their football histories with KU leading the series with a 3-1 mark. Tech won the very first meeting between the two in 1987 by a score of 16-11. All previous four meetings have been hosted by the Jayhawks in Lawrence.
The Bulldogs play four more home games in 2019, beginning this Saturday hosting UMass at 6 p.m. Tech is currently 4-1 and leading the C-USA West Division with a 2-0 mark.
