RUSTON – The Louisiana Tech tennis team will participate in the first of five fall tournaments this weekend as they head to Conway, Arkansas to take part in the UCA Invitational.
LA Tech will have all nine players in action in singles, including seniors Nadja Manjon and Alana Sherman who will take to the courts for the first time since last winter when both players were sidelined due to injury.
Other returners taking part are juniors Andrea Perez-Lopez and Claudia Oravcova and sophomores Ana Jover and Ilana Tetruashvili. The newcomers who will see their first collegiate competition are the trio of freshmen – Madison Cefalu, Rikona Murakami and Alexia Romero.
The Lady Techsters will also have four doubles teams – Sherman/Romero, Jover/Oravcova, Manjon/Murakami and Perez-Lopez/Tetruashvili – competing in the event that takes place on Friday and Saturday at the UCA Tennis Courts.
