LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Tech tennis team had a strong showing in its second tournament of the fall season, going undefeated in doubles and finishing with a 4-2 overall mark at the Ragin’ Cajun Invitational on the Cajun Courts.

“I was very happy with our performance in doubles,” said head coach Amanda Stone. “We went out and played our strategy and it translated into wins. Overall, it was a good weekend. We improved in both singles and doubles from the first tournament.
“Right now, I’m really happy the team is responding well to coaching and learning to adjust and think on the court.”
On Friday, Alexia Romero and Ilana Tetruashvili were dominant at the No. 2 spot, overpowering Hoda Habib/Mariona Perez (ULL) by a score of 6-1. Clinching the win was the combo of Rikona Murakami and Andrea Perez-Lopez besting AK Harvey/Lucie Raquin, 6-3, at the No. 3 position.
