Large Disturbance at Byrd High School Leads to Several Arrests

Caddo deputies made several arrest following a large disturbance at Byrd High School earlier this morning, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

About 8:15AM this morning, School Resource Officer, Corporal Ray Saunders along with several Caddo Deputies arrested seven students and one adult during a large group fight at Byrd High School, in Shreveport.

After further investigation, Corporal Saunders reported, the parent of a Byrd student, Shania Graham, 38, of Shreveport, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace, Resisting arrest and misuse of 911. Also, Lynterrica Williams, 18, was arrested for Battery of a School Teacher.

Both was transported and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.

Later, six juvenile arrest were made in connection to the disturbance for Disturbing the Peace and Battery of a School Teacher.

The incident is still under investigation with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
