The fair is coming to town! But instead of corndogs, they have corn. Scratch the ferris wheel and add arts and crafts!

The next Bossier City Makers Fair, is Saturday March 24th 2018 at the LOUISIANA BOARDWALK!

The Bossier City Makers Fair is a celebration of handcrafted goods, crafts, arts, and foods. This Makers Only Fair, will feature 100+ makers and artisans! It will take place March 24th from 10am-6:30pm at the LOUISIANA BOARDWALK with FREE ADMISSION & FREE PARKING.
-The event features a large all handcrafted fair showcasing artisans selling everything from stained glass, jewelry, canvas and multimedia art, knitting, upcycled furniture, artisan soap, pottery, textiles, home décor, clothing, homemade artisan food, and baked goods.
-Grab a bite to eat, shop the handmade maker booths, and enjoy the atmosphere. We will have live music, and fun activities for the whole family. Face Painting, Bubbles, Balloons, and Games in a family friendly environment.
-This event is being held to encourage the growth of our makers, artist, crafters, and musicians. All while supporting our local community.
-Looking for unique gifts for yourself, friends, or family? Join us March 24, 2018 from 10am-6:30pm at the Bossier City Makers Fair. Its where the makers are!

Joel Rodgers

Joel Rodgers joined RSHV News 1 in January 2018 as a reporter/journalist. Prior to joining our team, Joel spent the previous 5 years as a morning show reporter, entertainment reporter, and sports reporter for a local television station. At 6’5”, he's the tallest reporter in the history of Shreveport, but it’s more than just his height that makes this Shreveport native stand out. His editing skills combined with his love for storytelling makes for a creative and talented addition to the RSHV News 1 team. After attending and graduating from Evangel Christian Academy, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern State University. Joel is very active in the Shreveport community having won several competitions in recent years. In 2017, he danced his way to victory in the annual Susan G. Komen event, “Dancing for the Cure." He’s also won the “Mudbug Madness” Crawfish eating contest in back-to-back years and was named the top celebrity chef at the “Louisiana Food Prize” cooking competition.
