Here in Louisiana, the only thing better than a crawfish dinner, is three crawfish dinners.

And the only thing better than a player of the year trophy, are three players’ of the year trophies.

Real Shreveport Sports is all about supporting local athletes, area sports, and making fun videos for the players, schools, parents, and ‘the internet’. You’ve seen our videos, you know!

You probably also know, over the past few months, we’ve teamed up with Swoop to give away LSU tickets, prizes, gasoline, and coming soon ….  three ‘Swoop Player of the Year Awards!

Nominations are now open for the ‘Swoop Player of the Year’. This is an award to be given to area high school football players who receive the most votes. The winners will receive a custom trophy (thanks to Swoop) and an interview/edited video. (parents love our videos)

The ‘Swoop Player of the Year’ trophy will be the most valuable trophy awarded to an area player. More details on this the trophy coming soon.

Nominate the players you think should be named ‘Swoop Player of the Year’. Nominations can be sent to our Facebook page or by emailing Joel Rodgers at Jrodgers@realshreveport.com

Often times local media only awards players on offense, not us. We’re giving out this award to an offensive, defensive, and special teams player. All they have to do to win this trophy, is win the vote.

Nomination period ends Thursday, November 15. Then the voting starts.

The Swoop Player of the Year Trophies will be awarded Thanksgiving week.

Real Shreveport Sports is thrilled about the ‘Swoop Player of the Year’ trophies, and can’t wait to see which area; offensive, defensive, and special teams players take home the award.
