Shreveport, La —

From Showboats to BootleggersNLA

A local traveling 7on7 team is partnering with one of the most notable brands in the nation for a North Louisiana 7on7 team. The Shreveport Showboats, a traveling 7on7 team, born right here in North Louisiana in 2019 is teaming up with the Bootleggers to form the Bootleggers North 18U and 15U teams. This is a big deal!

Last year the as the Showboats, the traveling 7on7 team offered a great opportunity for North Louisiana to promote the high school football talent we have in the top-half of Louisiana. It helped kids chase their dreams by taking them to 10+ colleges, introducing them to coaching staffs, and helping universities see the caliber of young men we have from our area. The Showboats played in tournament after tournament and competed with the best talent across the south.

This year, the Showboats are partnering with The Louisiana Bootleggers from Baton Rouge. An established organization committed to seeing athletes excel on and off the field. This opportunity will open more doors for our kids and try-outs are scheduled for January 12th at Calvary Baptist.

The 2020 Bootleggers North Louisiana Coaches will be: Ben Palmer, Gary Cooper, Kelvin Sims, Jacob Coltson, DeMarlon White, and Mark Miller.
