Frisco, TX (October 3, 2019) – North Texas Soccer Club will play at Globe Life Park in Arlington beginning in 2020, the club announced today. The inaugural USL League One regular season champions will call the former Texas Rangers stadium home for the next three seasons.
“We’re proud to bring our exciting brand of soccer to Arlington and Tarrant County,” said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. “We’re also looking to forward to doing more than simply play at Globe Life Park. We’re committed to being active partners in Arlington’s robust sports community.”
North Texas Soccer Club will continue to practice at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco but will move some of its business operations to Arlington. The Club will also produce and support community initiatives in Arlington and the surrounding communities.
“Sports and entertainment are in Arlington’s DNA and we’re excited about the addition of the North Texas Soccer Club to Arlington’s world-class Entertainment District,” said Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams. “We’re thrilled about the future of Globe Life Park and the momentum that continues to build around the repurposing of this iconic venue.”

North Texas Soccer Club (16-6-5, 53 points) plays its final regular season match in Tucson on Friday, October 4 at 9:30PM CT. The USL League One regular season currently runs from March through October. North Texas SC has clinched homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and hosts a USL League One semifinal match at 7PM CT on Saturday, October 12 at Toyota Stadium. The opponent will be determined at the conclusion of the regular season which wraps up on Saturday, October 5.

North Texas Soccer Club is a USL League One franchise that is owned and operated by FC Dallas. The team was announced in 2018 and is a founding member of USL League One which is playing its inaugural season in 2019. North Texas SC currently plays at Toyota Stadium. Globe Life Park in Arlington opened in April 1994 and served as the home of the Texas Rangers for 26 seasons before the final game on September 29, 2019. Over that span of more than a quarter century, over 67 million fans were in attendance for 2081 regular season and 25 postseason games. Globe Life Park hosted the 1995 MLB All-Star Game and 2010 and 2011 World Series among other major baseball events. The facility, originally called the Ballpark in Arlington, has also hosted a number of major concerts and other events over the years.
