The Wall Chargers are based out of Shreveport, Louisiana. A bizarre corner of the southern world called the Ark-La-Tex. The band’s unique sound draws from western and gospel with rhythm and roots flare. Imagine something like Ray LaMontagne playing The Ink Spots. The self dubbed genre “space western” tends to include pedal steel rainbows crossing over rivers of synth and electric guitar. Well-thought lyricism meets well taught instrumentation. Respectful students of an old sound find a personal modern voice.
The Wall Chargers tour regularly in the south and midwest. They prefer mountain towns and far to reach places with eager audiences but also maintain strong followings in markets such as central and south Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and their home state of Louisiana. These seasoned performers enjoy playing multiple hour sets covering a variety of moods and discographies as well as splitting bills for high-energy nights with friends in other cities. Enjoyably refined.
