Service and Food Make Ernest’s Orleans A Must Stop In Shreveport

  • Ronald Oswalt

SHREVEPORT, LA. – After moving here about twenty months ago, I have discovered a Shreveport treasure by accident. Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant host my weekly networking meeting (RMG) Relationship Marketing Group Meetings every Tuesday at noon.

I think because people want to be trendy or thought because I was from a larger area I would prefer many other choices. However, if you want amazing food, real Shreveport vibe and service that you’ll never will forget, Ernest’s Orleans is your choice.

Service at a restaurant is becoming truly a lost art and it is always delivered by the amazing staff. I have to admit I decided to write this story after devouring a 18-ounce steak for lunch. Not dinner, but lunch and I am writing this story with a full belly and a level of happiness that only a great meal can deliver. From seafood to steak, I am always pleased.

Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant has been a part of Shreveport’s history for over sixty years. Located at 1601 Spring St, sitting on top of the hill, Ernest’s features prime steaks, fresh seafood, and Italian eats. Ernest’s Famous Marinated Crab Claws and Red Snapper Ernest are just two dishes that highlight our menu. Table side desserts and after dinner drinks await their guests.

Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant is a family owned and operated business. The late Chef Ernest Sr. had deep roots in the city of New Orleans which was brought to Shreveport in the late forties. Marjorie Palmisano was learned at the famous Elmwood Plantation Restaurant. These influences in addition to Chef Ernest Palmisano Jr.’s drive for excellence are apparent in all dining experiences. Be it locals or celebrities, signed pictures adorn the walls freezing the night of decadent foods, drinks and fun permanently.

Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant continues to serve the freshest wild Louisiana seafood found in this city. The easiest way to prepare delicious food is to start with the freshest catch, aged prime beef, and formula fed veal. The freshness and selectiveness of the ingredients are apparent in every succulent bite. Jokingly referred to as Dallas’s best restaurant, Ernest’s name has been synonymous with fine foods and wines. A formally trained, knowledgeable, and smiling staff is always available to help guide guests through the dining experience. If the question involves the freshest catch of the day or which bottle of wine matches the entrée, the staff will have an appropriate and accurate response.

Three large dining rooms provide an atmosphere for any occasion… Dancing in the club room alleviates all of your daily worries, the main dining room provides and elegant and intimate setting, the captain’s room and veranda are accompanied by a scenic view of downtown Shreveport!

They have a full time Event & Meeting Planner on staff to help coordinate your special event in Shreveport.  They also provide a In-House Florist that can take care of the most intimate to the elaborately elegant fine floral arrangements for you. The restaurant is a great place for Meetings, Associations, Organizations, Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding Receptions, Private Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, Private Functions, Fundraiser Parties, etc. Audio/Visual available. Free WiFi. Call (318) 226-1325 today.
