Teen wounded as he and other play with handgun

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Police in Shreveport say a teenager was wounded as he and others played with a handgun Christmas Eve.

The Shreveport Times reports (http://bit.ly/2ikyLi9) that the 14-year-old was hospitalized in serious condition.

Police say several people were playing with a handgun inside a Shreveport home when it discharged and struck the boy.

A 19-year-old was arrested on a single count of illegal use of a weapon in connection with the shooting.
