Texas Rangers to Introduce Top Two 2019 Draft Picks at Wednesday Media Availabilities

Media availabilities to take place at 2:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in media interview room

Per a news release from Texas Rangers Communications:

Arlington, Texas—The Texas Rangers will hold a pair of media availabilities, TODAY, WEDNESDAY, JULY 3 to introduce the club’s top two selections in the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft. Both players have agreed to terms.

The Rangers will introduce their second pick and the 41st overall player selected (Competitive Balance Round A), third baseman Davis Wendzel from Baylor University at 2:15 p.m. 

Texas will then introduce its first pick and the eighth overall selection of the first round, third baseman Josh Jung from Texas Tech University at 4:00 p.m.

The media availabilities will take place in the media interview room at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Rangers President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Jon Daniels and Senior Director of Amateur Scouting Kip Fagg will also be in attendance.

The third base media gate at Globe Life Park will open at 1:30 p.m. today.
