Tre’Davious White named to first Pro Bowl — and for some reason Dak Prescott WASN’T selected
Was Dak Prescott snubbed?

- Joel Rodgers
Former Green Oaks Giant and LSU Tiger, Tre’Davious White, was just named to his first Pro Bowl.
White is tied for the league lead in interceptions (6) and for most of the season has been among the top cornerbacks in lowest opponent passer rating when targeted.
Congratulations to Tre’Davious! The Bills play New England for first place in the division. Watch out, Tom Brady, the 3-1-8 is coming!
The 2020 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Another local guy, who we thought would for sure be named to the Pro Bowl, Dak Prescott, wasn’t.
Dak Prescott is easily the biggest snub of the Pro Bowl selection. The former Haughton Buccaneer and current Dallas Cowboy has dealt with a league-high 25 drops this season, but he still ranks third among quarterbacks in completions, second in passing yards, fifth in total touchdowns and fifth in yards per pass attempt. He’s also at or near the top of every advanced efficiency metric, including Total QBR, in which he sits third (73.3) behind only Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes.
The NFC quarterbacks selected were Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson. Interesting.
Patriots QB Tom Brady wasn’t selected for the first time since 2008, when a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered in the season opener ruled him out for the remainder of the season. Brady remains in a tie with Peyton Manning, Tony Gonzalez, Bruce Matthews and Merlin Olsen for the most career Pro Bowl selections with 14.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who earned his 13th berth, is second among all active players.
