TRICK OR TREAT! Captain Shreve vs C.E. Byrd will have to wait until Halloween

Lightning! Canceled! ACTION!

  • Joel Rodgers

Shreveport, (Quarterback City) La — Friday night was suppose to be full of high school football jamborees, but Mother Nature happened.

Lee Hedges looked in mid-season form as the stands were full of yellow jacket and gator fans, but those fans quickly exited the stadium minutes into the Byrd vs Shreve jamboree. Stupid lightning!

With the score 0-0, principals and coaches from both Shreveport schools decided it would be best to call the jamboree due to lots of lightning in the area. The two schools will meet in the regular season on Thursday October 31st, Halloween.

Last year’s jamboree also ended in a tie, 6-6.

Then last year, in the regular, Byrd defeated Shreve 27-25. The game ended with a blocked field goal as time expired.

C.E. Byrd vs Captain Shreve will be our Game of the Week on October 31st.
