SHREVEPORT, La. – ULM junior Guillaume Fanonnel carded a pair of 68s on Saturday afternoon at the Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, tying his lowest round of the season, as he finished the first two rounds of the David Toms Intercollegiate in a tie for fifth alongside Francois Jacobs (Arkansas Tech) and Jackson Wedgeworth (North Alabama).

Fanonnel is joined among the Top-20 at the event by Warhawk teammate Andoni Etchenique, who is in a three-way tie for 16th at 3-under-par. Together they highlight a ULM unit that is fourth in the team standings, with an 11-under-par score of 565 (285-280) that is 35 strokes behind leader and host LSU. The Warhawks are seven strokes shy of Arkansas Tech (-18) in second and six behind Memphis (-17) in third.

Fanonnel, who is 8-under-par with a score of 136, is five strokes off the pace of individual leader Hayden White (LSU). He began his day with an eagle, four birdies and 11 pars in the first round, carding the eagle at the first hole. Fanonnel picked up six more birdies in the second round, including four on the back nine, to maintain his stronghold on fifth-place.

Etchenique, tied alongside Grayson Wallace (Wichita State) and Trevor Brunson (Arkansas Tech), is 3-under par with a score of 141 (70-71). His opening round 70 included five birdies and 11 pars, resulting in the second-lowest score by a Warhawk on the round. He followed that with five birdies and nine pars in the second round.

Two Warhawks, Keegan McLachlan and Thibault Santigny, are among six players tied for 29th. McLachlan, who is even-par with a score of 144, fired an opening round 74 that included three birdies and 10 pars. He followed that with the second-best score in the second round of any Warhawk (70), after finishing with three birdies, an eagle and nine pars.

Santigny, taking part in his first tournament of the fall for ULM, is also at even-par with a score of 144. He began the day with a first round 73, which resulted in one birdie and 15 pars, before emerging with two birdies, an eagle and 12 pars in the second round.
